Ric Johnson established EquiTitle, Inc. in 1999 and opened the company in January of 2000. Ric graduated in 1991 with a business degree from Lee College (now Lee University). From 1992 until 1995 he worked in consumer finance and in 1995 he began working in the title insurance industry. He has been a licensed title insurance producer since 1998.
Ric decided to combine his business degree with his title insurance knowledge and experience in order to create EquiTitle, Inc. Ric’s goal has always been for EquiTitle, Inc. to be the most customer-focused title and closing company in Tennessee. The attention to detail and customer service is what sets Ric and his team apart.
Outside of work, Ric enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and their Bassett Hound, Dash. He also enjoys running and competing in marathons and triathlons. He has completed Disney’s Goofy Race and a Half Challenge as well as two half Ironman races and one full Ironman. He continues to train and work toward his next event.
